Added a new blog, which is not actually a part of the main website: My Wordpress Blog.

The whole point behind this was to give myself an easier time in terms of updating new work to the site, but the blogging power of Wordpress is pretty impressive, as well. I'll be working with some different ideas over the next few months as I figure out how I want the new blog to work with the original website. Right now, I'm leaning to basically replacing the "Updates" page with it, as it is basically doing the same thing.

On the other hand, the blog could stand alone, since it has its own copies of content stored in a seperate directory. So, as I said, I'll have to work out some ideas.

Grad School and Work Take Place Here

June 10th, 2005

Heh. Been a while, eh? Well, people who know me are not surprised in the least, I'm sure. Still, I decided over the summer I want to update the site a bit, and thus I have finally gotten back into the whole html deal. But, I'll likely just do things in bits and pieces, so don't expect anything really too major just yet.

Anyway, in this case, I just added a piece I did last year during Digital Bootcamp, over on the Computer page.

Added another entry to the Online Video Journal.

While it's not linked anywhere on the site yet (probably to be placed within the Links page when I get around to it), I started my Online Video Journal last month, and just added the latest entry.

Bet you thought I totally forgot about this place, didn't you? Ha! Foolish mortals.

Actually, I've been spending the past few months really pouring the speed on, and have been really just working on a lot, mainly in terms of various art projects. Some of them have been transferred over to here, naturally, while others are still "in production."

For starters, I added some new entries to the Links page. Three of them are to the sites of fellow artists, one of whom I have not met in the five years or so that I've known her. Another link is to the website of the band that my drum instructor plays for, and one to the homepage for CD101, the last beacon of "good radio" these days.

A new item has been added to the Writings page, which is one of my mailing list e-mails. A short one, but I had fun writing it. I'll probably some older e-mails in the future, but I haven't had a chance to go back through and sort them all out.

The Drawings page has a brush and ink piece, called "Wrong Side of the Bed."

The Audio has not only the latest mix-down of "Hanged," but also several new songs for your legal downloading pleasure.

A new (and very touching) quote was added to the Bio page.

The Multimedia page finally got an entry, namely that of "Road Stop," which is a Flash interactive piece that I put together. This, by the way, is where a good portion of my time went into during my leave of absence.

The major work, however, went into the Videos page. Four new videos have been uploaded. Three of them, "Art Is," "Timebomb," and "Lot #13" are from my days as an undergrad at CCAD. The fourth is a video that I just literary finished yesterday, a video interperation of the song "Cautioners" by Jimmy Eat World. As per usual, you can either download the large files meant for playback off of a hard drive, or stream them for high or low speed bandwidth.

That is all. Breckenridge.

September 10th, 2004

Well, after a great deal of political intrigue, industrial sabotage, and traumatic life-altering events, I have finally relaunched my website with its new look, new focus, and even a new name. For those of you who remember my old site, it was officially down (or as Blink 182 would say, "Down down down down, Down down down down, etc." -- funny that I happen to be listening to that song now as I write this) back in late January, after which time all of the aforementioned obstacles exploded, all of which are so incredibly intense and exciting that I have absolutely no desire whatsoever to chronicle them here.

Just in terms of "newness," the shift in focus for the site was not just on my own art work, but also my art work in all the forms I've dabbled in. I have the usual batch of drawings, photography, and similar images, as well as some writings, but to the mix I've also added music, video, and (hopefully before too long) some multimedia work. The video page has both streaming options and the ability to just download the video directly; note that the downloadable video is at full resolution, so the file sizes are fairly large. Keep this in mind if you're on dial-up.

The "neat" part about this update is that right now, nobody will read this entry -- not right away, anyways. It'll still be a couple days before all the pieces are in place, at which point it'll be opened to the public. Feel free to contact me with suggestions and comments about the site, as I'll be tweaking it over the first few months, and can make changes accordingly. If I deem them to be worthy of my attention, you understand.

Major flying toasters to my coder-in-cryme, Mark. It was through him and his programming help that I was able to develop the more interactive aspects of the site. You go, man!
